Yvonne Romain

 Yvonne Romain whose textile life started with patchwork 30 years ago and her work has steadily grown through City and Guilds with Chris Bojan and continued with Mary McIntosh at the WI centre in Ipswich. Four great growing years in textiles. Felting is a great love of Yvonne’s using the woods near her home as her influence.

Mary uses Grandmother's bloomers

  Mary McIntosh is using her stash of vintage lace, including some from her great Grandmother's bloomers, to inspire her work for the 'Spotlight on....Heritage' exhibition.   The first Spotlight Exhibition at the Pond Gallery, Snape Maltings from 29th April - 4th May 2022 All eight members of the group exhibited a range of work inspired by the theme 'Spotlight on........East Anglia' An Artist Profile of each member was compiled by Karen Bowe and displayed at the entrance of the gallery The Spotlight sign was made by Avril Court Each member made a 3D piece of set of items to display on the plinths and windowsills in the gallery Members also made colour themed inspiration packs and other small items to sell Spotlight artists were present each day to talk to visitors The exhibition was a great success with lots of visitors Thank you to all who came to the exhibition Lots of red dots were added to labels as pieces were sold and went off to new homes
