Julia Ringer
Julia Ringer graduated as a Textile/ Art teacher in 1979, and once retired, ‘graduated’ from Advanced Creative Stitch in 2020.
Tending to work by researching and sampling themes chosen
for study, for example, ‘Lost and Found’: and the use of historical textiles is
a thread throughout. Recently, using 1930’s, ‘make do and mend’, and currently,
Medieval textiles.
Machine and hand stitched work is preferred to create
tactile, textural pieces using fibres and other materials.
